Obor Timor Ministry believes that sustainable social change can only be achieved through strong collaboration. We actively work with government institutions, civil society organizations, educational institutions, and community stakeholders to expand access to education, strengthen youth development, and improve child protection systems in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.

1. Government Collaboration

We collaborate with local government institutions in Kupang City and East Nusa Tenggara Province in supporting:

  • Child-friendly city initiatives (Kota Layak Anak)
  • Education and non-formal learning programs
  • Child protection and street children interventions
  • Community empowerment initiatives

 

2. Education Sector

We work closely with educational institutions to expand access to learning opportunities, including:

  • Non-formal education programs
  • Literacy and equivalency education
  • Youth training and capacity building
  • Learning support for school dropouts

 

3. Community & Civil Society

We partner with local communities, faith-based groups, and civil society organizations to:

Our programs are supported by a dedicated network of 15–20 active volunteers, including youth mentors, educators, and community facilitators who contribute to:

IMPACT THROUGH PARTNERSHIP

Through collaboration, Obor Timor Ministry has been able to:

  • Reach over 1,000 children and youth since 2011
  • Support approximately 700 school dropouts to return to education
  • Provide support for around 500 street-connected children
  • Strengthen local initiatives for a Child-Friendly City (Kota Layak Anak)
  • Expand community-based education and empowerment programs
